about

I'm Cooper - a builder who's been writing code since before high school. My happy place is low-level systems and the kind of problems where you get to invent your own rules: I've written a native compiler with LLVM IR generation, a lisp in under 300 lines, and more chess engines than is probably reasonable.

Outside the editor I'm into AI safety research (big thanks to Robert Miles), math puzzles (shout-out Daniel Litt), and playing chess, soccer, and hockey. I care about making software that's fast, free, and genuinely useful.
